Patient Access – a new way to order your online prescriptions
What is Patient Access?
With Patient Access, you can now view, book and cancel appointments at your local GP surgery from home, work or on the move — wherever you can connect to the internet. What is more, because Patient Access is a 24 hour online service you can do this in your own time, day or night.
Plus, Patient Access is not just for booking GP appointments, you can also:
- Order repeat prescriptions.
- Change your address details.
- View part of your medical records
In order to access this service, you will need to provide photo ID at reception at Giffard Drive Surgery.
How do I register?
When you request to use Patient Access, we will provide you with an access code after you have shown us your photo ID. Once you have the access code, you can register using the orange Patient Access box at the bottom on our website’s Home Page, or using this link Patient Access Login
Is my information secure?
All information that is sent to your surgery via Patient Access is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Only you and your GP surgery are able to see this information.
From the end of July 2015, you will ONLY be able to order your ONLINE repeat prescriptions using the Patient Access service, our old online service will be closing down.
