Giffard Drive Patient Group
We have an active Patient Group who support the Practice in various projects in-house and help to raise funds for equipment for the benefit of the patients.
The Giffard Drive Surgery Patient Group was formed over 15 years ago and in that time have raised over £15,000 and supported the Practice with the purchase of nebulisers; a Blood Pressure machine for the Waiting Room; a Computer & Information screen for the Surgery Waiting Room; an ECG machine; a Dermascope to diagnose skin conditions, including possible skin cancers; a Bluetooth ECG machine; chairs for the consulting rooms, chairs for the waiting room and much more. The latest donation is a Bluetooth Spirometer for respiratory tests, enabling our patients to access the latest technology within their GP Surgery.
We are now also recruiting for a "Virtual Patient Group" to ask you to help us decide what services would best suit our patients - we need your feedback and ask that you sign up with an email address so that we can send you relevant surveys once or twice a year. The form can be found on the page "sign up form". Many thanks for helping us.
We are always happy to welcome new members, so if you are interested in supporting your Practice in any way, please feel free to come to one of the meetings. The date of the next meeting can be found on the Waiting Room information screen.
Meetings are usually in the evenings at 7.00 pm at the Surgery every two months, and we try and alternate the weekdays to give everyone a chance to attend. The meeting duration is normally around 90 minutes, depending on agenda content.
Details of the next meeting can be obtained from H Bellamy 01252 516380, who is the Chairman of the Patient Group or you can leave your number at Reception and we’ll contact you.
